SUMMARY
Animated webp's, such as this one: https://files.catbox.moe/092t02.webp
don't render properly. Image from old frames cleared and stays visible. Sometimes parts that should show image stay blank.

The same occurs when I open the attachment with Qt viewers qimgv and PhotoQt.

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Gwenview 25.08.0 (the latest released version)?
