SUMMARY
This is not specific to this version. It's a very old bug.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use any tool.
2. Hover the cursor over the canvas and click the spacebar to activate pan tool immediately.

OBSERVED RESULT
It doesn't activate for 1~2 seconds. I need to click again after that delay.

EXPECTED RESULT
Should be able to use it immediately

I'm sorry, but I cannot reproduce this (Linux with KDE Neon and Windows 10 or on a Yoga 920 with the yoga pen or touchpad) with any version of Krita.

* Do you use a tablet? If so, which brand and model?
* Does this happen with a pen, mouse or both for you?
* Could you make a screen recording so we can try to see what happens?
