SUMMARY

In the System Settings’ sidebar of categories, the category header names do not appear to me to be visually distinct from their children and cause me to work harded to scan the separate categories' children.

For example, the Appearance, Workspace, Personalization category header names have the same indent level as their children items, albeit with a slightly bolded face and no icon.

Would it be more clear to have indented children items?

The headers have been made more visually distinct in Plasma 5.17, which should hopefully make this unnecessary.

Crude patch

However for discussion or amusement purposes, I am attaching a patch that will roughly do what you want if you apply it to the systemsettings repo.

It's not the right way to achieve this, but does show what it would look like. If we wanted to do this, I would want it made an optional property of the Kirigami BasicListItem.
