I have just fixed this issue by going into the cups web interface at http://localhost:631/printers/ and removing the netowork printer I recently added. I then ran `$ plasmashell` and the panel loaded without a segmentation fault. I am still unsure why a network printer would cause a segfault in plasma shell though. can you reproduce with a backtrace? That means Plasma crashed. As Marco says, we will need a backtrace of the crash, if you can still reprpoduce this issue with the latest version of Plasma.
