I'm getting the bug too, but I don't know what the left or right half of the calendar is. My calendar widget only has one part, and if I enable events, there's a top/bottom half. And both of them only ever copy the current date, not the date you right-clicked, or the date that's highlighted. If you're still experiencing this in Plasma 5.20, can you attach a screenshot showing the issue? I'm not seeing that the individual event items have any right-click menu at all. dear Nate, can't tell. newest Plasma-version on fedora31 is 5.18.5 ... i'll update, once 5.20 is available on fedora.
