I'm almost certain that what was happening was that the "show password" button had gotten focus such that hitting the return/enter key both clicked the button and also sent the password. The button has been removed in Plasma 5.19, so this is no longer possible. |
SUMMARY Once, on my locked laptop, I typed in my password, and to my shock, when I pressed Enter to login, my password turned visible! STEPS TO REPRODUCE Unknown! It has only happened once since I have had my Kubuntu 18. And I have not ever encountered such a problem in 5 years, neither in Kubuntu14 nor 16. OBSERVED RESULT visible user password at login EXPECTED RESULT normal password input (shown as bullets/circles) >Expected Response maybe: Review code for possible pitfalls? Cheers!
