It crashes in QWebEngine. Your digiKam version is compiled with QWebEngine support instead of QWebKit. We currently recommend QWebKit. For QWebEngine you need a working and stable support of OpenGL. I also use QWebEngine in my developer version. Which graphics card and drivers do you use? Maik Note : the AppImage bundle is compiled with QtWebEngine. Can you reproduce this problem ? Can you reproduce > this problem ? Cannot reproduce with AppImage bundle. It starts normally. Gilles has mean that AppImage is compiled with QWebKit. Gilles, how was that with you again with NVidia. The Nouveau is clear that does not work with QWebEngine. How was that with the proprietary NVidia driver? Did you have problems there as well? Maik @Jens Did you install Marble? Is there a problem starting Marble when using OpenStreetMap? Maik Same problem here using Mageia 7 and last main update. When i use QtWebEngine, it crash but not at startup, and end of digiKam session. It's reproducible with 2 computers using different Nvidia card but with proprietary driver. Gilles (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #6) > Did you install Marble? Is there a problem starting Marble when using > OpenStreetMap? Marble works fine with all installed maps. @Jens Try it if you delete the folder "~/.local/share/digikam/QtWebEngine" beforehand. Maik (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #9) > Try it if you delete the folder "~/.local/share/digikam/QtWebEngine" > beforehand. Still crashes. *** Bug 406809 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 409906 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Git commit 400f158390708e4634559e0a6fcc90f66e3f5598 by Maik Qualmann. Committed on 14/09/2019 at 05:58. Pushed by mqualmann into branch 'master'. QWebEngine should work with the proprietary driver, enable the disabled option again because of Nouveau driver M +5 -4 core/app/views/stack/welcomepageview.cpp M +4 -2 core/dplugins/generic/webservices/unified/wizard/wsauthenticationpage.cpp M +5 -4 core/libs/dplugins/webservices/webwidget_qwebengine.cpp M +5 -4 core/utilities/geolocation/geoiface/widgets/htmlwidget_qwebengine.cpp https://invent.kde.org/kde/digikam/commit/400f158390708e4634559e0a6fcc90f66e3f5598 Today, next digiKam 7.0.0 beta2 64 bits pre-release AppImage bundle will be published with last Qt5.14 and QtWebEngine by default.
