This is an inherent property of how your audio hardware is laid out. HDMI audio and internal audio are not independant devices but rather on the same device and to switch between them you need to switch profiles. This is very unfortunate from a UX point of view, but I'm not sure what can be done about it Yes, this is a common issue with laptops that use onboard audio with Intel chips. The other people with dedicated HDMI outs probably had AMD chips. Not much we can do. |
