The primary monitor is below the secondary. Its resolution is 1920x1080. The second monitor has a higher resolution, but this should not change the behaviour.

Is anyone who had been affected by this bug still able to reproduce it with Plasma 6.2.5 or later?
My setup:
Laptop with two external monitors arranged this way:

Also tested with git-master with this arrangement:

1. Open App Dashboard - observe it appears on the primary display where the panel is
2. Disconnect the primary display and reconnect it
3. Reopen App Dashboard
Result: The App Dashboard correctly appears on the primary display
I tested it on Wayland on Plasma 6.2.5 and sometimes it works as expected (application dashboard opens on primary display when pressing the Meta key on the keyboard) but sometimes it does not work, after changing the display setup. Launching applications with a hotkey opens a window on the currently active display (where the mouse cursor is). The OSD popup for volume or display brightness also opens on the active display. This is working as expected for me on current git master with Qt 6.9. Let's try to keep it to one issue per bug report. Can you still reproduce it with Plasma 6.3.5 or later? Seems to work. I cannot reproduce the bug on Plasma 6.3.5 compiled against Qt 6.8.3. Excellent news! |
