SUMMARY

Vector tools have problems with selection and transformation 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add some vector objects
2. Try to manipulate some of them.
3. (my variant is here. https://yadi.sk/i/G_66srf5ogW5Ew ) 

OBSERVED RESULT

1) Ctrl+A does not work with vector layer. 
2) Transformation tool works only with the whole vector layer, not with selected elements. The transformation included into Select Shape does not seem to use precise numbers (useful for rotation)
3)The zone for rotation trasformation in the select shape is too small and hard to catch. Clicking a bit further causes krita to deselect your selected elements. Would not be so bad, but
4) Ctrl+z does not return the selection back, only undoes the previous transformations. If the group was selected, and many objects are present, it can be hard to reselect the objects. 
5) Besides that, sometimes during transformations you can't see some objects, the pattern of this behaviour is not clear.

EXPECTED RESULT
The instruments that have similar behaviour for raster and vector layers.

As for the invisibility problem, it can be reproduced by selecting a vector layer, selecting the transform tool, then selecting the edit shapes tool.

I'm still seeing this with 5.1.3 on both Windows 10 PC and Android 12 on Samsung Tab S7+. It's impossible to edit a vector shape with any of the mesh transform tools:
• new, empty file
• create vector layer, make current
• create a vector object (rectangle)
• click Select Shapes Tool and select the object
• Tool Options... click any of the mesh edit icons: perspective, warp, cage, liquify, or mesh
• the object disappears
• there's a short screen notification "Can not transform an empty layer"
• picking the Select Shapes Tool indicates the object is still selected, but it is invisible within the grips
• moving the object refreshes its visibility
