Select purple color to change but get black as default.

I install plasma sdk to edit the themes. I select edit color to change the color. But when I click on the color to change it, the color selector default to black instead of that particular color that I was trying to change.
The color should remain what it originally was.

I think I made a mistake, it does not default to black, but instead remember the previous color that was selected before. Like when I change red to blue for the first color, then select color to change, it will choose blue for me.
