SUMMARY
After very specific steps related to context menu on Kickoff, wallpaper is gone and no context menu is provided on the desktop by right click, indicating that plasmashell crashed. The command plasmashell --replace fixes it back.
It's reproducible 100% of times here.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Kickoff (yet to test with the other menus)
2. Right-click any application, showing a context menu
3. Click outside of context menu, it won't disappear
4. Right-click the same application as before
