SUMMARY

Terminal directory doesn't change when navigate to Wastebin. I use the embedded dolphin terminal at the bottom for (de)encrypting sensitive files & shredding old ones. After having done this I clicked on my Wastebin to check what was in there, there were some old gpg files so I ran shred -fuvz *.gpg to get rid of them, the terminal showed it running the shred process as normal, but they didn't vanish from the Wastebin. I then realised the address showing in the terminal had not changed to the Wastebin! (wherever it actually exists). I was able to retrieve all my gpg files from a backup thankfully!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin file browser & set it to show the embedded terminal at the bottom.
2. Navigate to some folder, or even leave it at the home folder.
3. Press the Wastebin icon on the left.
4. Note the embedded terminal working directory has not changed.

OBSERVED RESULT
The embedded terminal working directory has not changed, hence any commands then input to the terminal will not be performed on the visible files - they will be performed on whatever directory was previously being looked at.

EXPECTED RESULT
Terminal working directory to always follow the visible directory.
