SUMMARY
The Directory of the CCD Panel is not saved

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In the CCD Panel, select a Directory
2. Capture a sequence
3. Quit KStars and reopen it

OBSERVED RESULT
The previously chosen Directory doesn't display

EXPECTED RESULT
It should be saved and displayed again

I cannot reproduce this at all.

I would think the only way this might not be saved is if KStars did not shut down properly.  Did it crash or say that it crashed on exit?

Yes, it did crash on exit.
When there is no crash, the selected directory is preserved.
