When I'm selecting a new message most often an html message with external references I look to the preview pane and often the pane will contain the last message with focus for a fraction of a second. It is at this point when the message is replaced by the current message and my brain skips a beat.

Can Kmail clear the contents of the preview pane when the focus has changed? In this way at least the preview pane will be blank while we wait a moment for the message to appear.

Never ever have had such a problem. Maybe computers, qt or kmail got faster already?
