Sentry Crash Report:

Description Alison Watson 2019-07-30 22:50:48 UTC
SUMMARY
With the Global Menu plasmoid enabled, no menu bar is displayed at all. It *appears* that Krita attempts to hide the menu bar from the window, but ignores the fact that hiding it will only end up removing it from the global menu as well. (The former is replaced by the latter by Qt.) If one attempts to enable the [MainWindow]MenuBar setting in kritarc it will immediately be disabled upon startup.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a Global Menu plasmoid to a panel.
2. Log out and log back in.
3. Launch Krita.

OBSERVED RESULT
No menu bar is shown in the Global Menu plasmoid, nor on the main window. Any attempt to enable it fails.

EXPECTED RESULT
A menu bar would show up in the Global Menu plasmoid, or perhaps via user setting, on the main window.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (20190730)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.60.0
Qt Version: 5.13.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Additionally, upon exiting Krita, the program will crash. I'm not certain if this is an issue exclusive to this bug (I don't have the resources to test this right now) but it may be worth noting in the case that it is.
