I can confirm this problem w/ Dolphin 19.11.70 running on KDE Neon Unstable Git Edition. Confirmed still an issue on Dolphin 20.08.2 A possibly relevant merge request was started @ https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests/217 *** Bug 447374 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Seems like this was forgotten about? Created attachment 121790 [details] screenshot of bug SUMMARY When renaming a folder the Folders Panel is updated with the new name/location but the Places Panel entry does not. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a folder called 'xyz123' 2. Add this folder to the Places Panel, via drag and drop 3. Rename 'xyz123' folder to 'xyz12345' OBSERVED RESULT The Places Panel entry keeps pointing to old 'xyz123' location EXPECTED RESULT The Places Panel entry should be updated to point to the new location 'xyz12345' SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kubuntu 19.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2 Kernel Version: 5.0.0-21-generic ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I was able to reproduce this on latest KDE Neon Developer Edition as well.
