SUMMARY

If I add a small video and an .mp3 to the track and render the project it takes about 4 hours and has 20 minutes of extra blank space for seemingly no reason.

My format was .mp4, but this shoudn't really matter. Quality settings are default.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open apt based kdenlive make simple project (HD 1080p 30fps)
2. Add Video and audio and render
3. See 20 minutes of extra dead space

OBSERVED RESULT
20 minutes of extra dead space and about 600% extra render time

EXPECTED RESULT
Much faster renders and video should match timeline and not have extra dead space in it.
