btw, #379294 provides a better solution than smart heuristics, but i think we will wait a really long time until all TUI programs will support it - not sure if even one of the toolkits supports this by now, given that this doesn't fit the "the screen is a matrix of cells" concept too well. (also, some cases simply can't be expected to be covered by the OSC8 support - an url that appears in a text file that is being edited most likely won't be recognized and marked as such by the editor.) This has been bothering me for years! I'm an avid IRC user (weechat specifically) and clicking multiline urls simply does not work there. Only other terminal I've got it working as expected, is Kitty. However, there are several reasons why I'd rather stick with Konsole over Kitty. If this issue has been successfully resolved in Kitty, why not in Konsole? |
