SUMMARY
When I click on a magnet link, I get the usual dialogue box in Ktorrent with the link showing and then click on 'OK', after that, nothing happens.

I expect Ktorrent to show me another window with a list of the contents of the torrent. It does not.

I have tried using different browsers, Firefox & Chrome and I get the same result - Ktorrent doesn't handle the magnet link properly. I have even tried it on different computers running the same desktop and version of Ktorrent, I get the same result.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. After opening Ktorrent & a browser, open a torrent sharing site (I used TPB)
2. Left click on a magnet link
3. Ktorrent opens the first part, which is the magnet link, click on 'OK'
4. Nothing happens

OR
1. After opening Ktorrent & a browser, open a torrent sharing site (I used TPB)
2. Right click on a magnet link
3. Select 'Copy link location'
4. In Ktorrent, goto 'file' then select 'Open URL'
5. Click on 'OK' 
6. Nothing happens

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
Ktorrent should load the magnet link and start downloading the torrent.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The bitTorrent client version , I am unsure of, but you should be able to ascertain which version it is in relation to the version of Ktorrent.

cannot confirm with ktorrent 5.1.2.

The issue is the magnet link is prepended with the original url. Related issue, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406379 and https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392321

Hi, unfortunately I cannot reproduce this bug using links from that website. Please could you try again and let me know if this still happens?
