SUMMARY
The screenshot should be updated after editing.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Take a screenshot (file1)
2. Export to Gimp, do some editing then save. (file2)
3. Export again e.g. upload to imgur... (file3)

OBSERVED RESULT
a. file3 = file1
b. the preview screenshot = file1

EXPECTED RESULT
a. file3 = file2
b.the preview screenshot = file2

Spectacle isn't intended to be a general-purpose image handling app. Once the screenshot has been exported to GIMP, it's not in Spectacle anymore; it's GIMP's job at that point to offer a nice "Export to Imgur" function or whatever other tools you want. Since GIMP doesn't yet offer that feature, your best bet is to save it in GIMP and use Dolphin's own "Export to Imgur" feature to get it up there quickly.
