SUMMARY
After the most recent upgrade for ubuntu 18.04.2, using nvidia propretary drivers, plasmashell randomly crashes, closing all applications and going back to sddm.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Just normal usage, after some time the crash occurs when a new window is about to open. I just a see a black screen and back to sddm, looking on htop from a remote session all applications closed.

ERROR LOG

SPECIAL / WEIRD SPECIFIC THINGS RUNNING ON THIS MACHINE WHILE THE CRASH

I have an i3 X2GO session being hosted on the machine on display :50 and a client running on display :0, where the crash occurs. Also have jack2 running. I have set opengl 2.1 in the settings of kde and I have a universal scaling greater than 1.



SUSPICIOUS

The driver recomendation gui is not working, with the error "importError: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.12' not found ...."

Plasmashell crashing wouldn't take you to sddm.

X is crashing. We can't help, sorry
