Been there, seen that ;) The work-around is: after closing YaST, switch to a virtual terminal Ctrl-Alt-F2, log in as your normal user, then execute "sudo /sbin/shutdown -r now" Please read bug 364593 comment #7. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 364593 *** |
Created attachment 120724 [details] ksmserver crash trace SUMMARY After upgrading Tumbleweed to the latest snapshot something went wrong during the upgrade regarding NVIDIA drivers. Mpc-qt was crashing every time i opened a video, so i uninstall them but as soon as i hit reboot get this crash. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Remove NVIDIA video drivers using yast. 2. Hit reboot on the application launcher. 3. OBSERVED RESULT ksmserver-logout-greeter crashes, no reboot. EXPECTED RESULT System reboots with no ksmserver-logout-greeter crashing SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58.0 Qt Version: 5.12.3
