STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Kdenlive
2. Click, add clip, Crashes
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Pauses, then crashes

EXPECTED RESULT
Open folders for selection of clip/s

Let us know the path where the clip is like: "c:\video\clip name.mts" incl. clip name and from which path do you have started Kdenlive.

Issue also repeatable on Windows 10 Home 10.0.17763.

The path to the clip is not relevant since kdenlive crashes before the windows appears to allow a clip to be selected.
(Project Bin -> "Add Clip or Folder"->Crash)

Issue is repeated in 19.12.3, launched from "C:\Program Files\kdenlive\bin\kdenlive.exe".

Issue is repeated in 20.07.70, launched from "D:\Users\markp\Downloads\kdenlive-master-362-windows-mingw_64-gcc\bin\kdenlive.exe"

Please delete kdenliverc and try again.

As it has been a while since this was reported, can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved.

Please try with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/)

Retested with 20.12.2 and the problem does not recur. 
Bug can be closed.
