STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. enable the touchpad indicator in systray settings
2. click on the touchpad indicator in systray
3. click "Keep open" button in the upper right corner
4. click on "Disable touchpad" button (apparently notthing happened)
5. close the applet popup (now you can see the dialog to confirm or not
the touchpad disabling)

EXPECTED RESULT
the dialog to confirm or not the touchpad disabling is always
visible after you click on "Disable touchpad" button

This bug is now irrelevant because no popup opens when we click on the touchpad indicator in systray. Currently we just see the dialog with "Disable" and "Cancel" buttons.
