SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0. Buy stupid laptop with Intel & Geforce 1050 graphics card
1. OpenSUSE Tumbleweed fresh install with KDE desktop (need nomodeset kernel parameter to even install..)
2. second monitor in standing position (HDMI)
3. Install NvidiaGLG05 drivers through Yast2 package manager
4. Every single fresh boot, the following crash appears

OBSERVED RESULT

"We are sorry, ksplashqml closed unexpectedly"

EXPECTED RESULT

Splash screen?

It fails to create an OpenGL context, i.e. driver issue.
Your desktop works as normal then? Do you get a "software rendering" icon in your panel?
I suspect Ksplash doesn't read the kquick renderer settings

Depending upon what that "Stupid Laptop" actually is you may need to install "Bumblebee"...

Unfortunately not sure what you mean by the "Software rendering" icon, but the desktop seems to work okay, although I've had complete freezes, which seems to have something to do with moving windows from one monitor to another and can be 'fixed' (until next boot) by changing the display settings a few times.. 

I'm installing bumblebee, will let you know if that helps
