mockup geolocation editor with thumbnails view

SUMMARY
When sorting images into locations, filename and date are usually not as important as the actual content of the images. Currently, the tabular view in the geolocation editor wastes a lot of screen space.

I would like to have the same (or at least a similar) view as the thumbnails view for the geolocation editor, with selected metadata being displayed below the thumbnails (or none at all). Maybe we can even reuse the thumbnails view altogether?

Also, since most displays are 16:9 widescreen nowadays, IMHO it makes a lot of sense to offer at least one three-column view: map, images (icons or tabular) and tags tree beside each other.

Screenshot mockup attached.

You have already reported this wish in bug 397872 as point 5. I close this bug report as a duplicate.

The installation of an icon view would be a bigger thing. The geolocation editor is independent of the DB, because he also has to work in Showfoto. Similar to the import view, we do not have access to the core or thumbnail database, and so on.
