I can confirm the bug. It is not a regression: Krita 3.0 already worked in this way. That means this is not a high priority bug, sorry. It's unlikely to get fixed before we release 4.2.0, unless someone steps up and starts working on it. Oh, there's already a solution. It's not perfect, but if you select Lock Guides in the View menu, you can create your selections without problems. I had forgotten about that option myself. |
Created attachment 119892 [details] Problem SUMMARY When i want to make a selection shape with the rulers in place to guide me, it changes my cursor to a ruler move tool instead of letting me draw a selection shape. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Place rulers in any position 2. Select any selection tool 3. Try to draw a selection shape to where the rulers are and the cursor should change to the Ruler Move Tool OBSERVED RESULT Right now, it changes the cursor to a up and down arrow for the ruler instead of letting me draw a shape EXPECTED RESULT The Ruler should not interfere with the selection tool or any other tool that i have selected SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 64Bit macOS: None Linux/KDE Plasma: None (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: N/A KDE Frameworks Version: N/A Qt Version: N/A ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I really need this to be fixed because i actually use the rulers to measure some aesthetic pieces of a Frame. In the screenshot i attached shows that im trying to draw a shape with the Bezier Selection Tool but then the cursor changes to a up and down arrow.
