Description Ovidiu-Florin BOGDAN 2019-05-01 04:32:23 UTC
SUMMARY
When a laptop gets unplugged from power while in stand by, when resuming from stand by the unplugged sound gets played.

This is misleading as the two events can be hours or minutes apart.

Also it's very disturbing, as a laptop may be brought back from stand-by during a class or meeting.

The volume might be set to loud, which makes this a bad experience.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Plug laptop to power
2. Put laptop in sleep/stand-by mode
3. Unplug laptop from power
4. Resume from sleep/stand-by mode

OBSERVED RESULT
Unplugged from power notification sound is played.

EXPECTED RESULT
Unplugged from power notification sound not to be played.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 29 KDE
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Just to be clear, I'm referring only to the specific scenario of the sound being played when resuming from stand-by, not during general use.

lol this is currently being inhibited by https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210425. Once that's fixed, this will return.
