STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create hotkey "Shift+M" to create marker. (Also tried "q"). 
2. Click on clip on timeline. 
3.  I put playhead in the right place. 
4. Press Shift+M (on any keyboard layout).

OBSERVED RESULT
The marker is not set.

It also does not work adding a marker through the button on the timeline toolbar (this button I added there through the toolbar settings)

I will update the SppImage on friday so you can test and report.

The problem is solved. Checked in 19.04.01с.
