Hi Jasem,

This morning I tested KStars v. 322 at home and in real in my observatory.

- Concerning Bug 406960 : The seven temporary files are still created and not deleted after a “Load & Slew”

- Concerning Bug 407089 :

1/ The camera ZWO ASI1600MC can now capture and write to disk a sequence of 100 x 1sec without any problem.
Hence https://commits.kde.org/kstars/161d65aa7d10bd7f17b6a7006e8f3bde24f2227f <https://commits.kde.org/kstars/161d65aa7d10bd7f17b6a7006e8f3bde24f2227f> has been successful
For testing, I also recorded a sequence of 100 x 0.000032sec without problem (even with Delay = 0)

2/ However the camera ZWO ASI120MC can Preview but CANNOT write to disk and KStars crashes immediately
I attach the log

Please tell me if you need more testing

Best regards
__________

Hi Jasem,

Please forget my yesterday report concerning the crash of KStars while recording sequence from my guider ZWO ASI120MC.

I just received this morning a used ZWO ASI174MM camera in replacement of the ZWO ASI120MC (the ASI174 has bigger pixels, bigger sensor and is B&W : hence better for guiding).

I installed it immediately on my scope and tested it along with my imager camera ZWO ASI1600MC.
- the imager ASI1600MC was recording a sequence 100 x 1sec (4656 x 3520 pix)
- the guider ASI174MM was looping (full image 1936 x 1216 pix, bin 1x1)
No crash of KStars.

EVERYTHING IS WORKING GREAT

I need to investigate this more deeply but it seems that my ASI120MC was the source of my problems.

Thanks again for the correction you made in the code.

Have a nice day.

Hi Jasem,

I did some testings in order to determine in which conditions KStars crashes with the camera ZWO ASI120MC

I tested KStars v.295 through KStars v.322 with a profile containing only two cameras : ASI120MC and ASI174MM

I used a sequence 10 x 1sec in the CCD Module.

1/ Camera ASI174MM : no problem at all.
2/ Camera ASI120MC : no problem with v.295 through v.298 BUT crash with v.300 through v.322

My camera ASI120MC could be defect but it works perfectly well with Nebulosity and TheSkyX

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
