SUMMARY
I wanted to upgrade to Kubuntu 19.04 from 18.10 and followed instructions through KDE's website. It found the new release and everything went fine but then I suddenly noticed "Upgrading version 18.10 to 18.10"! I was kinda surprised and thought that it's trying to re-install 18.10 and I couldn't stop the upgrade either so I waited for it to complete and it did upgrade to 19.04. I wish it gets fixed quickly to prevent others from panicking.

Please report issues with Kubuntu upgrade tool to the bug tracker of your distribution.

KDE is my distro. From Kubuntu 18.10 to Kubuntu 19.04.
