Description tildearrow 2019-04-10 19:26:04 UTC
SUMMARY
Some widget animations are fixed to 30fps, and as such do not look smooth. This is minor, but it would look a lot better if they were in a higher frame rate.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings
2. Go to Display and Monitor > Compositor
3. Change tearing prevention to any value other than "Never" and "Automatic".

OBSERVED RESULT
Observe the popup at the top. Not only it moves slightly slow, but it does not look fluid but rather like a video/movie (30fps).

EXPECTED RESULT
The popup must appear at 60fps.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: I'm not sure but it could reproduce there too
macOS: I'm not sure but it could reproduce there too
Linux/KDE Plasma: 4.18.10-arch1-1-ARCH/5.15.4
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Qt Version: 5.12.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
No, my computer isn't slow.
It reproduces on all 4 widget themes.
This may be more of a Qt problem...

Errata:
Where it says "5.15.4", "5.55.0" and "5.12.1" it must be "It reproduces using any version.".

Not a bug? Where may I suggest then?
