Description dieter.de.moitie 2019-04-07 06:07:16 UTC
Panning does not work close to a guide line when using a hot key.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Draw a guide line
2. Move mouse close to a guide line, so you see the mouse icon with two arrows
3. Press the space bar, so the mouse icon changes to a hand
4. Click and move your mouse

OBSERVED RESULT
The guide line moves instead of the canvas.

EXPECTED RESULT
The canvas to move.

WORKAROUND
Use the middle mouse button instead of the space key (see "additional information" below).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The behavior is different when:
- Selecting the pan tool from the tool bar => The mouse icon does not change indicating that panning will not be possible
- Using the middle mouse button => panning works close to a guide line

The expected behaviour should be to move in the pan mode and ignore the guides during the action.

Not really, the way Krita works here is that you'd lock the guides in the view menu when they're all set up correctly. Not the best or happiest solution, but that's what we have now.
