SUMMARY
When I manually edit connection types in config files ( located in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/, specifically, by adding route-metric in ipv4 and also ipv4.route-metric in connection section ), plasma-nm applet removes this option after subsequent editing and saving of the connection via plasma-nm applet.
