Digikam Editor - Tools tab

It would be great if you create your own tool tab with only the tools you need.

The Editor tool bar can be already full customized. There is no dedicated toolbar for editor tools only, but the main tool bar can be used in this way. 

Go to Settings/Configure toolbars dialog.
