SUMMARY

If I delete a file and want to recover it (or delete it permanently) from the trash bin it's hard to find where it is located, because the trash folder is hidden in the widgets panel/Dolphin window. The trash icon should be on the desktop (or on the panel) by default in order to make it easier for new users to find it (In my case I accidentally deleted a file and it took me a while to find the trash folder).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

This was done intentionally. You can access Trash from the file manager's Places sidebar, which you can also drag to the desktop to generate a link to Trash.
