## SUMMARY

It is not a trouble report.
I have translated the "Moun Package Manager" application into Japanese. Just translation from English to Japanese makes it very easy to use. Unfortunately, the new "Lubuntu" has not been translated into Japanese too much.

I would like to contribute to Japanese translation work. I think that participation in the "KDE Localization" mailing list is a clear method. But I do not have enough "SVN" skills or energy to contribute.

I translated it into Japanese by referring to "/usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/muon.mo" file of Lubuntu. I want to share it. I uploaded it here and reported it.

#### Installation procedure

In addition to the attached file, another translation file (software-properties.mo) is necessary. It is necessary to install "language-pack-gnome-ja" including it. However, because it is only some functions, there is not much trouble.

$ locale
LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=
LC_CTYPE="ja_JP.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_TIME=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_COLLATE="ja_JP.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_MESSAGES="ja_JP.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_NAME=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_ADDRESS=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_TELEPHONE=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_MEASUREMENT=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_IDENTIFICATION=ja_JP.UTF-8
LC_ALL=

$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install language-pack-gnome-ja

$ cd
$ cd Downloads
$ sudo cp muon.mo /usr/share/locale/ja/LC_MESSAGES/

Thank you for your contribution. If you have time, please read Okushi-san's notes at https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/kde-jp/2019-March/001030.html regarding the KDE translation. You do not need to have SVN knowledge to join the mailing list - you can obtain the po files from https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-support/ja/summit/messages/ and start editing, then upload the completed files to a publicly-accessible storage (e.g. Dropbox, GitHub) and email kde-jp[a_t]kde.org with a link to the storage location.

Meanwhile, your translations have been merged:
