SUMMARY
When adding a Slideshow clip and you have chosen a path you get an error message that says "Clip is invalid, will be removed from project". And in the box under it shows the path that looks like this: "C:/pictures/\.all.jpg" 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add Slideshow Clip
2. Chose a path with pictures, JPG
3. Press OK


OBSERVED RESULT
Clip is invalid, will be removed from project

EXPECTED RESULT
Slideshow created

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Windows 10 Pro 64-Bits

Thank you for reporting. Problem with slideshow is known under Windows.

I close this bug as a duplicate of Bug 375741.
