SUMMARY
OPEN locks up with large number of files in folder

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. ctrl o 
2. select folder with huge number (215,000) of files
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
locks up. maybe a very long wait would resolve
Krita returns to this folder/lockup on next open attempt rendering Krita unuseable

EXPECTED RESULT
abilty to select file or at least exit directory

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
work around: Avoid Ctrl-o. Drag drop file from directory to Krita work area
solution? make possible to break lock up without crashing out of Krita and/or make work around known

Of course, working with folders with 215k files is crazy -- but this is not a bug in Krita, since the file dialog is provided by Qt or your desktop environment. Check whether enabling or disabling native file dialogs makes a difference; check whether changing to a different desktop environment makes a difference.

Oh, and update to a recent version of Krita 4.0.1 is ancient history.
