STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Discover app store
2. Click "plasma addons" in the side bar, select "login screen" category
3. install some SDDM themes
4. open system settings > startup and shutdown

OBSERVED RESULT
SDDM themes installed in the step 3 are not available to selection

EXPECTED RESULT
SDDM themes installed in the step 3 are available to selection

Is the reverse true? If you install a new SDDM theme using the KCM, does it show up in Discover?

I can't install themes using the KCM.
I get the result described in bug 404609 (error message and crash notification).

That bug is about Discover, though. Not the SDDM KCM.

kcm has the same bug described in discover's bug.

I can't reproduce with Discover 5.15.4.
