You shouldn't be using xdg-desktop-portal-kde under Gnome, try to install xdg-desktop-portal-gtk and restart, it will be used automatically instead. Thank you Jan. I believe this can be closed. 1) Xdg-desktop-portal-kde shouldn't be used in GNOME. 2) We limited many portals not to run outside KDE sessions as they are tied to KWin or other KDE specific apps/services. |
Created attachment 118201 [details] screenshot STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. start Gnome Wayland session 2. open an app installed via flatpak (I have VLC and VidCutter from flathub here) 3. check cpu usage of xdg-desktop-portal-kde process OBSERVED RESULT xdg-desktop-portal-kde process uses an entire cpu core, see my screenshot. EXPECTED RESULT normal cpu usage SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/DE: Arch Linux/Gnome 3.30.2 xdg-desktop-portal-kde 5.15.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The problem does not occur under Gnome X11 sesison
