Shows the current buttons (next and previous)

Suggest that a button should be added to the Dolphin file manager to go down one folder. The simplest would be to add a down arrow next to the existing left and right arrows.

Please see discussion here:

Up arrow might be more appropriate

"Please provide a button available on the UI to go up one folder"

The user can add the up button to the toolbar: The Dolphin Handbook - https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/applications/dolphin/index.html -> Dolphin User Interface - https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/applications/dolphin/using-dolphin.html#dolphin-user-interface :

"The toolbar can be customized by clicking it with the right mouse button and choosing Configure Toolbars... from the context menu, with Configure Toolbars... from the Control button at the right of the toolbar or via Settings → Configure Toolbars... from the main menu."

You can apply the instructions provided by Rog131 to get this feature. Please reopen this bug report if this does not work for you.

Thank you! (blush) Perhaps show it by default? ....

In any case thank you for your time :-)

The suggestion is to show the Up arrow by default when the app is first started.

I think the app is perfect in almost every other way and find myself becoming more impressed by it every day. Better than Windows Explorer by a factor of about 10,000.

Sorry but space on the toolbar is limited, we cannot add a new button for something that can already be done in another way (the breadcrumb).

Fair enough. Thank you for your time.
