Hi, for some reason Plasma 5.15.0 on openSUSE Tumbleweed (current as of now) won't show this .desktop file on the desktop:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/calamares/calamares/master/calamares.desktop

It does show it correctly in ~/Desktop in Dolphin.

Other desktop files like this one appear to display fine:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/txgcwm/Linux-C-Examples/master/Desktop_Entry_Utility/gedit.desktop

Does the path in the TryExec line exist?

No it doesn't. But the same is true for this one, which is visible on the desktop:

That doesn't have a TryExec line.

The desktop treats .desktop files as shortcuts, dolphin mostly treats them as text files. This is by design.

If that's the issue, this is not a bug. Otherwise please reopen
