SUMMARY
An image (.png, black text on white background) is added as 'Diashow clip'.
In kdenlive it appears ad black outlined text on black background.
Expected behaviour: It is imported 'as-is'

Workaround....create white color clip and put underneath

Just a guess. Do you have "cut out" the text as an alpha channel by accident on the PNG and just the text outline is white?

I guess that is beyond my capabilities (picture editing was always dark science for me). I created a slide in libreoffice and exported that as png
