Description Johannes Zarl-Zierl 2019-02-11 16:46:34 UTC
It would be nice to have the possibility to copy&paste tags from one image to others.

The user interface could work like this:

1. Right-click on an image and select "Copy metadata..."
2. A dialog shows up with all image metadata.
The dialog allows the user to check the information that should be copied.
3. The user selects one or more other images
4. The user right-clicks and selects "Paste metadata"

Metadata that should be "copy&paste-able":
1. Date and time
2. Label
3. Description
4. Tokens
5. Tags
For the tags, there should be the possibility to simply (de)select all at once.

It should be an interesting function. Could you add it in the next version?
Comment 2 Johannes Zarl-Zierl 2019-04-24 19:34:38 UTC
Short answer: no, because no-one is working on it, yet.

Longer answer: ...but this bug could be a good way for you (or someone else) to start contributing to KPhotoAlbum. ;-)

Thank you for your answers.
I have no skills in such a development, so I cannot contribute in that way. My contribution could be in testing activities if someone start this development...
In anyone else interested in that new feature?

Thanks for volunteering to test this, once it is implemented.

> In anyone else interested in that new feature?

While I do think that many people would find this useful, nobody has requested it.
