Description CzAndrew 2019-02-10 21:09:55 UTC
SUMMARY
Kdenlive doesn't load images to Slideshow Clip (on Windows systems):

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Input: T02_20181019_154949_[xxxx].jpg (This is the default time-lapse foto seuence format.)
1. If I choose "MIME Type", choose the folder and set the frame duration to 1 frame, then I get an error: "Clip is invalid, will be removed from the project." As path I get [...path]/\.all.jpg.
2. If I choose "Filename pattern", choose the first frame, then on the lower part of the window only one file appears. So doesn't see the sequence.

OBSERVED RESULT
"Clip is invalid, will be removed from the project."

EXPECTED RESULT
The slideshow / time-lapse appears as a clip in the project bin.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Win10
MacOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Workaround: I have to rename the files to only sequence numbers, then using "Filename pattern" works.

Thank you for reporting and the workaround.
This issue is known since a while see Bug 379351 .
Comment 2 CzAndrew 2019-04-10 11:20:16 UTC
Important: the first filename in the image sequence should be full zeros, for example: 0000.jpg; 0001.jpg; 0002.jpg etc...
If not, then the rendered video will not be correct, just shows "INVALID" text.
