Description noemie scherer 2019-02-10 17:21:21 UTC
Created attachment 117966 [details]
both versions of the text; upper: text editor; lower: alpha-locked paint layer

SUMMARY
A text whose colour was changed in the text editor will have dark borders. It's not very visible, but for a red on yellow text, for example, it might be an issue (ugly dirty colour).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a new document in krita
2. Use the text tool to write the beginning of the lorem ipsum, font size 22 (so it's easy to see)
3. In the text tool window, select a few words and change their colour to yellow.
4. Duplicate the text layer, Convert it to paint layer, lock alpha, colour it the same yellow.
5. Move the converted text layer below the vector one.
6. Observe the difference.

OBSERVED RESULT
The texts are different. One has dark borders, the other one doesn't.

EXPECTED RESULT
Both texts should be identical, with no dark borders.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I tried it on 4.1.5 and nightly build 95773b5.
The borders seem to always be dark, no matter the colour the font first was.

Sounds like a duplicate of Bug 399830?

You're right, my bad, I hadn't seen it.
I'll mark it as duplicate then.
Thanks!
