I'm playing with face recognition and I would like to suggest an improvment. Running this useful tool is taking time, but analysing the result is also requiring lots of effort on our side.

after a run , I find new pictures in each people tab to confirm, but when you have hundreds of picture for a people you have to manually navigate in this album to discover the ones to confirm.
Ideally if we could have the possibiloity to filter out only the unconfirmed pictures within the people album, this will save lot of time, and even the possibility to approve all those unconfirmed in one click that would be great !

that was a function proposed by PICASA several years ago for those who used it.

See the Neural Network example from digiKam 7.0.0-beta1 performing faces
recognition with 2 items face-tagged in first.

1 new item is recognized, name-tagged, highlighted with green frame, and linked
in "unconfirmed" virtual tag for confirmation.

Recognition work well using Deep Learning and give 97% of true positive
results. Look well my comments on the screenshot, as all new unconfirmed face are available in "unconfirmed" virtual face-tag. I close this file now.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

The process is much easier now that unconfirmed faces are surrounded with a green frame. However, the unconfirmed faces still use the sort order like any other album, so they usually appear in between already confirmed faces, and sometimes they are not easy to find if a person already has thousands of confirmed faces.

It would still be useful to have a button to toggle between all faces and just unconfirmed faces, making the confirmation process easier.
