(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 3.0.0
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

It would be great to have some layout-buttons in the editor-window like some MUAs have for HTML but for ASCII!

E.g.:

»itemize« - Paint a * and indent current paragraph appropriatly

»section« - write a Number and indent paragraph

»justify« - like <p align="justify"> in HTML but in ASCII

The resulting ASCII-Mail should look like a good ASCII-webbrowser (w3m) would render a HTML-Page with <h1> <ul> <p align="justify"> <dl> ... you name it.

I just thought about filing a Wishlist-Bug as I saw that this was already done about a
year ago.

I really like to see this feature in KMail.

Hmm, this Wishlist-bug is still valid.
I'm using KDE-3.2.2 and there is still no ASCII-LAYOUT in KMail ;-(

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
